It depends on species, log size, how many merchantable trees you have, the terrain and how far it is to the mill. Douglas fir on flat ground with good truck access is worth far more than the same trees on a steep pitch with no road. Tod will walk it with you at no charge and give you a real number rather than a guess over the phone.

There's no hard minimum — it comes down to volume and access. Small acreage with big timber and an easy haul can pencil out, while a large parcel of small trees may not. We'll tell you honestly either way instead of moving equipment for a job that doesn't make sense.

Both. Some customers want the timber bought outright, others want it harvested and sold on their behalf, and others just want the ground cleared. We'll lay out the options and what each one nets you.

Yes. Land clearing and site prep are a big part of what we do — trees down, marketable logs hauled to the mill, slash handled and the pad left ready for the excavator or the builder.

That's routine work for us. Large fir, leaners and hazard trees near homes, barns, driveways and power lines are exactly the removals that need logging equipment and experience rather than a bucket truck.

Most timber harvests in Washington require a Forest Practices Application through DNR, and some counties add their own requirements. We deal with this on every job and will walk you through what your specific parcel needs before anything gets cut.

Slash handled, landing cleaned up and access roads left in usable shape. We walk the finished site with you before we pull the equipment out.
